Shortness of breath

Symptoms that are triggered by cold air, exercise, or exposure to allergens

Do you, or did you smoke and/or vape for more than 10 years?

Have you been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past or present? Long covid symptoms?
If you answered "YES" to any of these symptoms, ask your physician to refer you for Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT).
How to prepare for your Pulmonary Function Test

Please call two working days prior to the test to confirm your appointment.

If this is your first test and you take Ventolin or Atrovent, please DO NOT take 6 hours before your test. If you take Flovent, Alvesco, Pulmicort, Arnuity or QVAR, you may take them before your test.

If this is your second or subsequent test, you may take your inhalers as prescribed.

For all other inhalers, please do not take for 36 hours before your test.

If you are having difficulty without your inhalers, please use only what is necessary.

No heavy meals 2 hours prior to testing.

No smoking 4 hours prior to testing.

We are a fragrance free facility. Please do not wear any perfume or colognes the day of your appointment.

If you use inhalers/puffers please bring them with you to the appointment.
